Dog Boarding by Carillon Cares

I operated a large public boarding kennel for 24 years. From time to time we had guests that simply didn't do well in the kennel or clients that requested home care for their seniors or compromised dogs. Since I lived at the kennel, I was happy to take them into my home for care. Now that I no longer own the kennel, I purchased a home in a quiet unrestricted subdivision just North of Spring Steubner Road so I could continue caring for dogs that needed home care. I can accommodate four to six dogs at a time, so space is quite limited. Ideally, dogs should be under 40 pounds, but larger dogs could be taken on a case by case basis.

Here are the requirements for boarding:

Current Rabies Vaccination
Health exam within the last 6 months
Core vaccines and bordetella dogs 4 to 16 months
Core vaccines and bordetella dogs 16 months to 3 years
Follow your Veterinarian's recommendations for dogs >3
Follow your Veterinarian's recommendations for canine influenza and leptospirosis vaccinations

Boarding reservations should be made as far in advance as possible. Drop off and pick up by appointment only. Last minute arrangements are possible if we are not full.

We are able to provide special care for dog that have serious health issues such as diabetes, heart worm treatment recovery, epilepsy, glaucoma, etc. Rates upon request.

The neighborhood is quiet and very lightly traveled. Unless otherwise requested, your dog will be hand walked twice daily weather permitting. The back yard is large and secure, so your dog will be able to have a good playtime with supervision.

We are convenient to the Grand Parkway, so access is easy.
